Rocco DiSpirito, chef and author of nine award-winning books, is on a constant mission to change the perception of healthy food by creating easily accessible, delicious dishes that are low in both fat and calories. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, DiSpirito had trained in the kitchens of legendary chefs around the globe by age 20. His Union Pacific restaurant earned three stars from the New York Times, securing its place as a culinary landmark for many years. Food & Wine magazine awarded him the coveted “Best New Chef” distinction and he was the first chef to appear on the cover of Gourmet magazine, which named him “America's Most Exciting Young Chef.” A frequent guest on Good Morning America, Rachael Ray, The Talk, and The Dr. Oz Show, DiSpirito has also appeared on The View, Today, The Doctors, Ellen and many other programs.
